The coach chooses only the strongest players to make up the team, being a coach you will be aware of this. Sometimes few young new players are required who can fit the existing set up.

However, when it comes to soccer tryouts, there are a whole lot of other variables that come into play.

Once you know what a coach is actually looking for during the soccer tryouts, you can focus on showing off your kid’s skills and personality that will make them successful in the tryouts.

Soccer Training

These are the various aspects the coaches and soccer association will be looking in the players during soccer tryouts.

Skill: how well the player performs the skill that is necessary to play soccer this will be critically evaluated by the coach. If the players can’t exhibit these skills consistently during soccer tryout, it’s very difficult for the player to perform during the game. the ball should be in control during tapping, dribbling passing watch out for knowledge on soccer and players intuition.

Condition: Excellent conditioned player with average skills will manage to attract the attention of the coach. any player who loses breath after 15 minutes into soccer tryout will get similar treatment. If your players can’t withstand the tryouts soccer they let themselves and the team down.

It will be a puzzle for the coach as to why the player is not in shape. if you are not in shape in soccer it show either of the following that you don’t care or you are lazy or you very un professional thinking that being out of shape wouldn’t matter. 

Attitude: the player should always try to learn and also should have the potential Do players pay attention and try to perform all the tasks to the best of their ability every time?

Does the player have the open mind to accept his fallacies and improve on his skills Are they adjustable? Do they have the attitude to learn new skills, techniques and strategy ensure there are not complaints when the players learn their new positions.

When the soccer tryouts are over; pay attention to what happens next. Many times tryouts are conducted over a number of days. the coach might inform you immediately if your player has made to the team. Few times their decision might be informed through a call or letter indicating their decision. Never approach the coach asking about your players’ status

Make sure you don’t leave your things on the fields before leaving the ground. thanks the coach for his valuable time and inputs which will help you make a better player during the soccer tournament inform him before leaving
