Static active flexibility: It is the ability to stretch a difficult muscle using only the tension within that very muscle. One example is to hold one leg in front of you and keep it as high as you can. Doing this your hamstring is stretched and as the hip flexors and quadriceps grip your leg up.

Static passive: This kind of flexibility allows a player to make use of his body weight or some external force to hold a stretch. For example; you can hold your leg out in front of you and then rest it on a chair.

Teach players to keep the ball moving with one or two touches: This is also known as inter-passing in a team setting. Train your players to move the ball with speed and make solid crisp passes, whether it’s a 3 meter pass or a 20 meter pass.

Coach your players to keep the ball close to their feet when maneuvering the ball: One of the important soccer training tips requires kids to keep their head up and remain watchful of others movements in the field. They should try to touch the ball with every step when dribbling the ball. This results in maintaining a close control over the ball then enhancing hie/her ability to take it away from the defenders.

Get the cross in: In the first part of the game, carefully observe the goalkeeper while you take shots on the goal. If the player is going to create a space and run between them, they should let the other team members know. This kind of communication is very important for developing young players into great players.

When training for soccer, teach players to try and aim for the area flanked by the 6 and 18 yard boxes. This will make the goalkeeper come out in an attempt to collect the ball. This will make the goal open and defenseless.

Continue to observe the ball: Constantly observe the movement of each and every player on the field. Condition your players such that they don’t lose their way from the team’s strategy for the day.

There are two kinds of stretching; static and dynamic, that are slotted in planning training for the soccer season.

In static stretching, players stretch their muscles to a certain point of resistance and then hold for some period of time. Dynamic stretching involves rhythmic bouncing, rebounding and recurring motions. Generally, static stretching is considered as more effective and involves less risk than dynamic stretching.

There are some advantages of practicing stretching discussed in this article that improve a player’s ability to become an exceptional player.

Stretching reduces injuries: Continuous stretching during the day and performed over a period of time may promote muscle growth that, consecutively, could reduce the risk of injury. Stretching provides a way of growing the muscle mass and strength as well.

Stretching affects flexibility: Stretching prevents loss of flexibility. However, the support is more convincing for a long-term stretching line up than for shorter periods of time.

Stretching a few minutes prior to any event is likely to increase flexibility. One of the most important soccer training tips is to focus on enhancing the player’s range of motion by spreading out the stretching program over a period of months together.

Stretching improves performance: Stretches, when designed to be soccer specific can greatly improve a player’s performance.

Stretching can be great fun for the kids: If you include a lot of different types of soccer drills in your practice sessions, it can be a lot of fun. Keep changing the type of warm up exercises that you perform before stretching. Try to include games such as the tag game, ball tag, and keep away.

Focus mentally on stretching exercises, feel and recognize each stretch, whilst checking for body soreness.

For almost all players, one single 15-30 minute stretch for each muscle group is sufficient but some may need longer stretches and more repetitions.

This is due to the fact that when the temperature of muscles is higher than normal, inflexibility decreases and extensibility increases. Kids who hope to retain or boost their flexibility can somewhat reach this goal by stretching. When their body temperature is higher as against normal, it makes it safer and more productive to stretch.

That’s why some experienced coaches recommend stretching after a workout also. After practicing soccer skills, if kids are made to do some stretching for 5-7 minutes, it’ll prevent their muscles from tightening too fast.

Usually, players who practice an active warm-up ahead of stretching get a superior range of motion than those kids who just stretch. So if injury prevention is your aim, stop stretching before exercise and increase the warm up time.

When feeling stiff or inflexible, the most important soccer training tips is to allow kids to warm up sufficiently, as doing stretches would not help them become flexible, and will become boring and futile. Player 2 uses brilliant control to take the ball out of the air and swiftly passes it along the ground to player 3, who is on the edge of the area directly in front of goal. Player 3 gets the ball and passes it to the goal.

Free Soccer Training Drills: How To Switch The Ball

You can disagree, but I would like to give some useful tips. During the free soccer training drills, best teams keep swapping the ball and watch for a chance to attack the goal due any negligence caused by the defense of the opposite team. Follow the techniques given below, during the soccer coaching drills, and train the players accordingly to impart these skills.

Match winning approach: divide and rule; keep the ball throwing from one side to the other looking for the space between the defenders to attack. Your team can also release stress by switching the ball.

The Fast switch or the Blind Pass: Teach one or two mid-fielders to throw the blind pass by moving the ball using right foot, and hitting it to the left.Rapid Switching or the Blind Pass: Develop a skill in one or two mid-fielders to move the ball with right foot while kicking it to the left, showing almost a blind pass. You should teach the same technique to the left-footed mid-fielders, with the variation that they would dribble to the left side while swinging the ball back to the right side using left foot.

The defender of the opposite team will be surprised to see the pass and your team will catch them sleeping.

Soccer Drills

All players in the team will have to adjust to the expectation that a switch is always coming so tell your team to frequently switch the ball. Of all the soccer drills, your kids may find this drill rather difficult but it is it’s competitive nature that guarantees player’s total participation in soccer practice.

This drill requires six small goals on either side of the pitch. A team scores a point if it gets a player to run through the goals in the middle when playing out from the back. Passing through the last goals will yield two points and will encourage switching.

Throughout free soccer training drills, the goals should be made adequately wide to teach that there is not much use only to put a player between them to avoid a run or pass. One player should be assigned to run through the point A to B. To prevent the attackers to score, the players must remain between the goal.

Usually, during the play, youngsters, tend to move away from their positions. They have tendency to move towards the ball. Hence the defenders can be caught by surprise if the mid fielders learn to identify the opportunity areas and move the play on the other side of the field.

In the subsequent football drills session, spend some time demonstrating to players how to cover the total width of the pitch. Make  them practice  the skills, and show them where the actual risk may come from.

Now that you are armed with this information, incorporate these skills in your free soccer training drills, so your players are always ready and the opposition mid-fielders find it difficult to catch your defenders out.
