<p> In soccer weight training, the goal is to have muscles that are strong, fast, and have great stamina rather that to add pounds of muscle mass. Although the lower body strength is more important in soccer but we still carry on with the upper body weight trainings for overall conditioning and strength.</p>
<p> You should start your fitness training with the legs first. You can start the warm up session with squats. When you are done with this warm up activity players are supposed to do 20 reps, so bar to be loaded should be according to their capacity. Considering that they have good strength, hence give them 220 pounds to start with. The technique is to get under the bar and standing up with it resting it across the upper back.</p>
<p> They should then get out of the stands and stand with their feet and shoulder width apart. Next they move downwards keeping hold of the bar up until their hips are just below the upper part of their knees. In weight training soccer, after coming to this point the players should quickly stand up fully and breathe out. Encourage them to repeat this for 20 reps even when they are dead tired.</p>

<p> Next is working on hamstrings, but before that have a 5-10 minutes break. They are required to perform 4 sets of 15 reps each. During each set of Leg Curls, Stiff-Legged Dead lift should be performed with 4 sets of 15 reps. Since hamstrings are very important to a player&#8217;s speed, so you want them to be very strong.</p>
<p> The leg exercises will be completed with 3 sets of 25 reps on the Standing calf-raise machine.</p>
<p> Now for the upper body work out begin with the Incline bench press.<br /> After a warm up exercise, guide players to add enough weight so that the next set of 10 reps gets difficult. They are supposed keep on doing weights for a total of 5 sets of 10 reps, while stretching their chest and shoulders, however taking a break of 2 minutes between each set.</p>
<p> Now we move to the second workout of this session of soccer strength training which are the pull-up exercises. They should work out on their biceps and back by making their palms facing their body. The last phase of upper body exercises is to concentrate on the abdominals and leg raises of about 5 sets of 20 or more repetitions. Then finish with 5 sets of 50 or more crunches or sit-ups.</p>

<p> Match winning approach: divide and rule; keep the ball throwing from one side to the other looking for the space between the defenders to attack. To relief the players from stress, ask them to keep the ball switching.</p>
<p> The Fast switch or the Blind Pass: Teach one or two mid-fielders to throw the blind pass by moving the ball using right foot, and hitting it to the left.Speedy Switching or Blind Pass: A blind pass can be accomplished, rolling the ball using right foot, while throwing it to left; one or two mid-fielders must be knowing this technique. Left-footed mid-fielder, can perform the trick by moving the ball using the left foot and throwing it back to the right side using left foot.</p>
<p> The defender on the other side won’t suspect the pass and you can achieve the target.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.soccerdrillstips.com/drills">Soccer Drills</a></p>
<p> All the players should always be ready for this type of pass so ask your team to regularly perform the technique. This is most challenging technique during the soccer drills; that would enable the entire player to comprehensively participate in the soccer practice.</p>
<p> To complete this drill, six small goals are to be setup on both the sides of the ground. In case the player makes a goal which are placed in the middle of the field, a score is made by the team. Passing through the last goals will yield two points and will encourage switching.</p>
<p> Throughout free soccer training drills, the goals should be made adequately wide to teach that there is not much use only to put a player between them to avoid a run or pass. Choose one player who runs from goal A to B.  To prevent the attackers to score, the players must remain between the goal.</p>
<p> When young defenders are engaged in a game, they are often drawn away from their position.  They tend to move to the point, where the ball is being played. Hence the defenders can be caught by surprise if the mid fielders learn to identify the opportunity areas and move the play on the other side of the field.</p>
<p> Dedicate some time during the next session of football drills, to show the players to cover the entire width of the pitch. Impart the skill and repeat a few times, especially make them realize where the actual attacking threat may raise.</p>
<p> You have quite a lot of knowledge now, don’t forget to add these drills to your free soccer training drills, so your players are always ready and the opposition mid-fielders find it difficult to catch your defenders out. <p> They are required to have swift movements plus the strength of upper body to resist challenges. Players need to build their aerobic and anaerobic at the highest level to carry on until the game is over. A coach should know that he is hamming himself, his team and the game if he just insists his players to do weight lifting as the body builders do.</p>
<p> In body building and the sports which need strength primarily, players struggle to develop themselves in terms of size, bulk and ultimate strength. It does not matter much to them if it harms their aerobic endurance levels or even their speediness and flexibility.</p>

<p> In case you are planning to follow the typical 3 sets of 10-12 repetitions all year round, you are not going to get the best from your fitness training programs.</p>
<p> The reasons are as follows:</p>
<p> Kicking, jumping, tackling, twisting and turning as well as good speed during soccer comes from lower body strength. Upper body strength, on the other hand, is needed for shielding the ball, and keeping the opponents off.</p>
<p> Three broad categories can be made to divide “strength” in weight training soccer.</p>
<p> Absolute or Maximum Strength: It is the maximum energy that your muscle group can exert in a quick, single movement. An athlete who can do 250lbs leg press has more power than the one who can just do 200lb leg press.</p>
<p> In soccer, good maximal strength is advantageous in holding off the opponents and defending the ball. Most essentially, it is the basis for muscular pace and potential.</p>
<p> Muscular Power: Absolute strength and the speed of action both add up to produce power. If you increase either of these, without lowering the other, the explosive power of players will increase.</p>
<p> By just following the traditional weight training program that many popular fitness magazines promote; only power will be increased. While those traditional soccer fitness programs can also be altered increasing the speed of contraction. </p>
<p> Strength Endurance: It is the capacity of a muscle group to make repetitive and high-intensity movements. Like power, strength endurance is also very important to soccer game.</p>
<p> At some point in your soccer training routine, as a coach, you must focus on developing strength endurance. If you follow the simple 3 sets of 8-12 reps each, traditional weight programs are not very useful for developing soccer-specific strength endurance.</p>

<p> Train your players to continuously move the ball with one or two touches: In a team setting, this is called inter-passing. Train your players to move the ball with speed and make solid crisp passes, whether it’s a 3 meter pass or a 20 meter pass.</p>

<p> Keep an eye on the ball: Keep an eye on every player’s movement on the field at all times. Train players in a way that they stick to the team&#8217;s strategy and tactics for the day.</p>
